I have a cluster of four books about Catholicism. They share much of the same information, but each one is custom-tailored for a specific audience. You can get them as paperback books or eBooks. Two of them (“Catholicism Unveiled” and “Unmasking Catholicism”) are also available as hardbacks. Following the description of each book, there are links for ordering the book or downloading the eBook.
An eBook is an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file of the book. You can read them on your computer screen. They cost $6. You download them, so you get them immediately and there are no shipping charges. The publisher accepts Visa and MasterCard from any country. When you download the eBook, you can also download a free copy of the program that you need in order to read it (Adobe Acrobat Reader).
An eBook may only be read on the computer that downloaded it. If you have Windows, the way to get your eBook is to double click on the icon for “My Documents.” When that opens, then double click on “My eBooks” to read the eBooks you have downloaded.
If you have a bookstore, you can get discounts by ordering directly from the publisher. If your store is online, tell them because “dot-com” stores get a better discount. Their phone number is (877) 288-4737.
This book was written for Catholics. It is also appropriate for people who are participating in Catholic Bible studies, and for people who are thinking about converting to Catholicism.
This book was written for people who used to be Catholics. Every chapter has a “Practical Application” section at the end of it. The book has appendixes with Internet addresses of articles about doctrine and Church history. It also gives information about helpful websites.
This book has valuable practical insights in addition to factual information. The information comes from extensive research, my personal experience as a Catholic, and my training in the convent. The insights were learned in the trenches. Leaving the Catholic Church was difficult for me, and I still had challenges many years after leaving it. My personal struggles taught me some things that have helped many other former Catholics, including men who are now Protestant pastors.
This is a longer book for serious students of Catholicism. It has 8 appendixes, including a Glossary. The appendixes give Internet addresses of hundreds of online articles and pictures. One appendix gives information about helpful websites.
This book studies some key Catholic doctrines. It compares what Scripture says about them with what the “Catechism of the Catholic Church” says. It also uses information from some other authoritative Catholic sources. McCarthy is a former Catholic.
This book shows how Catholic doctrines have changed with time. Some teachings that used to be considered heretical have now become official Catholic doctrine. Webster is a former Catholic.
Richard Bennett (editor) and Mary Hertel (contributor)
(Available directly from Richard Bennett)
These testimonies are “inside stories.” They are intensely personal and wonderfully down-to-earth. Richard Bennett (a former Roman Catholic priest) compiled and edited the testimonies. Mary Hertel (a former Roman Catholic nun) helped him. Her testimony is in the book.
To buy the book, send a letter including the name of the book to Richard Bennett, with a check for $12.95 per copy (payable to Richard Bennett). The price includes free shipping for people who live in the 48 contiguous states of the United States. For Canada, Alaska, Latin America, and overseas, add $8.00 shipping per copy for surface mail and $12.00 shipping per copy for airmail. (Prices are in US dollars.) Richard Bennett’s address is below:

Videos
Catholicism: Crisis of Faith
James G. McCarthy, Producer
This video was life-changing for me. It gives an insightful overview of some key problems with Catholicism. It is presented in a gentle and respectful way. The producer is a former Catholic.
The video shows interviews with former Catholic priests and former Catholic nuns. It shows a 50-foot-high statue of Mary. (That is as tall as a 5 or 6 story building.) It shows the Pope bowing down to kiss the feet of a statue of Mary. It also shows an inter-faith prayer meeting that Pope John Paul II convened and led. Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, African animists, Zoroastrians, and members of other religions all prayed to their various gods.
You can order the video from D&K Press. They ship all over the world. The address of their website is below. Go to “Religions” and look for “Roman Catholicism.” You can also order by phone. Their number is:
Jim Tetlow is a former Catholic. He and his partner read hundreds of Catholic books about apparitions of “Mary.” They also visited Medjugorje and other apparition sites. The video shows a candlelight procession in Fatima, Portugal. A million pilgrims follow a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, singing songs in her honor. It also shows a procession in Mexico in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. A multitude of pilgrims follow a banner with a picture of Mary, singing songs to her. You can order the video from D&K Press.
