Praise for The questions that this book asks, and its researched conclusions, should cause us all to wake up and understand what we believe, and why we believe it. In the Day of Judgment, excuses will not be acceptable. All that is wood, hay, and stubble will be cast into the fire for destruction. For that reason, Mary Ann Collins has a passionate desire to see people rid themselves of the comfort of false teachings. No matter how comfortable one has become in traditions, if they are based on less than the truth, then we must let the truth set us free. If you are a seeker of truth, I challenge you to read this book, investigate its conclusions, and decide for yourself the ultimate truth of what you read. I encourage you to delve into each topic for yourself and make a decision based on knowledge, not ignorance. As a former Catholic, as well as a former member of a religious order, I have a great love for all those sincere and gentle people who, with great faithfulness, have been ardent lovers of the Catholic Church. I am so sorry to have to say that no institution or tradition can replace the truth of the words of our Risen Savior. Each of us has the responsibility to seek His truth, lest we drift away because of our own carelessness. Margaret K. Ward Today's ecumenical movement has drawn many Protestants and Catholics together under the belief of sharing a common faith, but underlying this movement is a lack of familiarity with the history and official doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. Many Catholic teachings remain out of view for the average church-goer and mass-attendee. Unmasking Catholicism uncovers and documents a great deal of this information, and presents it in easy-to-understand language. Jeff Lawlor Unmasking Catholicism is a well-documented, historical summary of significant "behind-the-scenes" facts that urge the reader to evaluate and further explore. Consistent invitations to check out the sources are made easy, by providing the specific Internet site addresses for referenced articles. Manuscript references, and excellent websites for additional personal study, are also provided. Both Catholics and non-Catholics will be encouraged to examine previously held presuppositions, and to consider the serious issues that are presented, according to God's standards. In itself, the book is not meant to be exhaustive, but a starting point, stimulating examination of any one, or all, of the topics addressed. It is not weighted down with technical details, but divided into sections that are clear and concise. Appendix C presents an easy-to-use Glossary. Difficult information, that needs to be known, is offered in a gracious manner that personally challenges the reader to think critically, in order to responsibly examine and respond to the truth that is presented. Mary C. Hertel In plain-speaking, simple-to-read language, Mary Ann Collins clarifies the complex issues surrounding the "hot" topics of the day in regard to Roman Catholic apologetics. In doing so, she has provided the Evangelical community with a work that exposes the errors of Roman Catholicism and acts as a wake-up call to those entertaining the notion of abandoning the true gospel of Jesus Christ for the aberrant gospel of Rome. Dr. Eric Svendsen, Director Too often, we read apologetic books that serve up the author's opinion. Not so here. Mary Ann Collins is graciously hard-hitting in exposing Roman Catholicism's false doctrines. She also gives an enormous amount of references for you to read for yourself. Anyone with a heart for reaching Catholics should read this from cover to cover. Stan Weber Mary Ann's hard work and research helped to clear my mind about the idolatry I had been a zealous part of, and the false doctrines taught to me by Rome. I thank her for being faithful to her calling. Her commitment has helped the healing of my soul. Esther Ruth Mary Ann has written with passion and compassion, and a real desire to tell the truth and honor God. The gentle approach to proclaiming the truth is in contrast to the harshness of the truths themselves. There are some things that seem to be "right" with the Catholic Church, but the underlying principles by which it operates are destructive to those who are caught in its deception. Bob Hellyer
